WYLIE FUNERAL HOME COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

What is Cremation?

11.12.24

Join us November 12, 2024 for a community engagement meeting to
discuss how a Crematory may impact your local community.

Topics of Discussion

01. Personal Safety

Wylie is committed to planting more and taller trees, adding more fencing and increasing the lighting on the premises.

In Maryland, the standards for cremation are regulated by state laws and local ordinances, primarily focusing on environmental protection, health, and safety.

Modern crematories are designed to minimize noise and odor. These facilities are equipped to handle operations in a way that there is no impact on the surrounding area.

Studies have proven that crematories do not negatively impact property values. The facility will be beautiful, well-managed and will blend into the community. There is currently an old house on the property that will be removed and, in turn, the new development will increase the local property value.
