Just reflecting the last time, we saw each other was at Peewee's memorial service. Then not too long ago we talked about doing a Pop-Up which I think would've been Dope. Two guys from the same neighborhood growing up becoming successful Chefs in their own right. Your work here is done now. May God keep you and hold you. My condolences go out to your family. Just remember that were all traveling on the level of time to that undiscovered country from who's born. No traveler ever returns. AMEN SMIB.

Dear family and friends of Mr. Burrell,

I didn’t have the honor of knowing Mr. Burrell well, but I’ve had the privilege of teaching his daughter, Jordyn. She is a strong, intelligent, and caring young girl who loves learning and people. That alone speaks volumes about the kind of father he was. Jordyn has always spoken so kindly and warmly about her dad, and on Friday, she showed remarkable bravery by coming to school, saying she didn’t want to miss math and science.

It’s clear that Jordyn is a testament to her father’s hard work, love, and kindness, and his legacy shines brightly through her. My thoughts and prayers are with Jordyn and your family during this difficult time.
