Condolences and my prayers for Keona and her family. Keona was truly an amazing person. I thought so just by the way she attended to grand mom Lillian when I came to visit. Your family is rich with love and there were others willing to provide the care, but you took control and there was a calm and order to what was supposed to be a dying situation. However, your grandma has a lot of spirit and she was having none of that and she is going strong, unless her heart is breaking now. You have that spirit and you would not let anything keep you down. Really, I did not fully appreciate how full your life was. I was impressed by your family commitment I knew most about, but I really was not taking it all in to realize what an amazing force you were. I knew you changed occupations for something you were passionate about and that required a lot of work, but doing this with 4 children while in your late 30's. I could never tell that it took a physical or mental toll on you, (except for the knee), you would just stay positive and move on. So, I just wanted to say that you amazed me and inspired me. You were the cure to one of the greatest social callings of our time. You were the police force of the people and for the people. Home grown in Baltimore and determined to make life better for the people of Baltimore. How very sad I am for all that to be taken away in a hateful instant. Thankfully, I see that your life and death touched many leaving a lasting memories of your goodness and selfless purpose that is the mark of a life well lived.
