My beautiful nephew has left us, but Matthew you left us a legacy that will live on
, to love unconditionally and speaking volumes without saying a word. The days will be dark for a while but knowing God blessed us with 30 years of you will help lighten them up.

My sweet baby boy, as I live on this earth I encounter many people, but only a few find a resting place in my heart, YOU WERE ONE OF THE FEW. You came into this world to show us a different kind of love, and you did that. Your work here was done, so God took his angle home. Your Mom was once told to consider herself Blessed because God choose her to give you too, I agree. I can’t explain this deep sense of loss, but to know that you are walking with our Lord gives me some peace. I Love you Bucus, and you will forever live on in my heart ❤️

My Dearest,
Matthew you came into this world with a plan and a purpose. You and God were the only ones who knew that and right from the start you executed the plan to spread love genuinely and unconditionally. Your purpose was to teach others to do the same. You did this without ever saying a word. When you came into my life you taught me that perfection was more than just what you see on the outside. You also taught me to be more patient, not only with others but with myself. Your smile and laughter was always the best medicine for anything that ailed me. Watching you do what doctors said would be impossible for you, proving the world wrong, learning a task faster than lightening and looking at teachers with that devilish grin as if to say, "What else you got?"

Oh! How I will miss you my love! I will miss the smooth skin of your face, the beauty of your eyelashes. I will miss how you would push me with your elbow when I would get close and rub my nose against your nose (you always hated that, even as a little boy). When we last spoke I promised you that we would see each other again, I said that I would miss you terribly but and I know you had to go. I whispered to you to not be scared, that I would be with you; that it was okay and that I would love you for the rest of my life.

What a blessing it was that I was there when you drifted in and when you drifted out of my life. The one big consolation I have is that when Jesus came to take you home, He didn't have to carry you but you walked along side Him. I know you are whole and that you are doing all the things that this earthly body wouldn't allow. So behave, run, jump and start a football team where you're always picked first. Don't chase after the big chested girls (they ain't nothing but trouble) and wait for me in the sunset.
