I’ve known you my whole life, you were my Dad’s Best Friend. Then we became neighbors. You watched my Sons grow up, just as you did me. You will be missed. Let me say “One Mo Again”, Love you Sir

To the family, I would like to share my deepest sympathy for the loss of your dear love one. "When someone you love becomes a memory that memory becomes a treasure may that treasure fill your heart with love and bring you peace. " (Rev.21:4). My thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time.

The Gambrills, Ernest Jr., and Judy and me Patricia send our heartfelt sympathy to Lonnie's family. We moved next door to Lonnie and his family on Appleton St. in 1949. My parents moved away to Catonsville in 1966. My brother, Carey, who is deceased continued to keep contact with Lonnie and Charlotte and I always ran into Lonnie, before he moved, when I worked at St. Gregory's on Gilmore Street. I have many fond memories of Lonnie like when we were teenagers hearing him sing between the walls of our house because his bedroom was next to mine. He liked to sing " Moody's Mood For Love" and of course he always had a tale to tell. Lonnie was one of a kind.

L. Rutherford Penny, I thank you for the MANY, MANY years that you were my friend. While we worked together we NEVER had a bad word to say to each other. When you moved to Kentucky, we stayed in touch from time to time and it was always great just to talk and laugh with you. You are in your Savior's Hands now as your journey through LIFE is complete. You have made MANY friends who shall miss you but in life we SHALL never forget you. REST IN PEACE MY BEROTHER.

To the Penny family. Our deepest condolences. Lonnie was a dear neighbor of ours(1505 Appleton St.). He wrote the most beautiful poem for our Mom when she passed, I will never forget the kindness of his heart. I also remember his dad Mr. Penny and the kindness he always showed to us. I remember his sister Charlotte and his Mom. Lonnie will be greatly missed. 🙁
