We, the Sweet Hope Free Will Baptist Church Family, extend sincere sympathy to you at this time, in the loss of our beloved brother, James “Butch” Phillips.
We want you to know that we care, we share in your sorrow, and that we are remembering you and your family in our prayers.
Brother Butch served the kingdom of God and the people of God with honor and distinction. He gave the very best of himself in all that he did for the glory of God. I rejoice in knowing that to “be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord” and I know without a doubt, he is rejoicing and singing with some other “vessels” somewhere around God’s throne.
Take comfort in knowing that God did not make a mistake and that his victorious transition is a part of God’s plan to work all things together for the good. God is simply following His master plan. So, trust Him. Believe that He is able and that He is only a prayer away. Seek the Lord for comfort and guidance and joy and peace, and believe that He will see you through. Today, we remember Butch with love and hold on to the fond memories we have of him. Remember the joys that he brought into our lives and the glory he brought to God’s Kingdom. Now, he is free from the troubles of the world and rests in the arms of the Lord.
Be strong, be encouraged and be at peace. And, above all, believe this: “Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.” God bless you all. WE HAVE THE VICTORY!!!
With Loving Thoughts,
Pastor Terry G. Thornton and the Sweet Hope Family
