Mr Greg was a great friend, coach, and mentor. To know him, really get to know him, was to love him. He and my mother (Sheila Knight) went to school together and graduated together; Douglas, class of ‘69. I’ve known Mr Greg for a long time but we really became close over the past 6-7 years. I will miss so much our conversations and seeing him at all of the bowling events. A great man. Irreplaceable! Godspeed my friend.

I’ve known Greg for over 25 years. He’s always been a very nice and friendly man. He loved bowling and always tried to help anyone who was willing to improve their game. He will truly be missed at the various bowling centers that he visited frequently. Rest in peace my friend.

I grew up with the Smith Family, and the community around the Thomas , Whitmore ,Warwick avenue and Easterwood. Greg was soft spoken ,sensitive guy. He was my younger brother's friend ,.I would run into him from time to time in later years , while visiting my brother. It was music to my ears and balm for my heart to listen to them sharing their memories and bantering back and forth.I loved him even more because he came to visit and never forgot his ole buddy who was ill for a very long time, sometimes a pained expression would cross his face for an instance, but the smile would soon return .I always thanked him and he always replied I wish I could do more. He had several nick names " Mack " and "Wimpy " he was always eating! I had seen him several times in the last year, always the same smile and graciousness, You were a great guy , Greg Smith ! I offer my heartfelt sympathy to your family and friends

With my sincere condolences for the loss of Gregory.

My deepest condolences to the family. His presence will truly be missed at the various bowling centers. When I would see him at a league night or bowling tournament, he would always greet everyone with the biggest smile. Rest In Paradise Mr. Greg.

We have known Greg for about 10 years and have never not seen a smile on his face. His smile lights up a room. When I would see him at a bowling tournament he would always give me a hug and say “well I’m here let’s see what I can do”. He always had a positive attitude. I am known as the cookie lady to some PBA bowlers and one time he said to me where’s mine and I said thought you were a diabetic, yes he said but I can eat one and save the rest so I gave him a bag of chocolate chip cookies. Recently he was at the PBA East Regional at FtMeade, so glad we had a great conversation. Greg you will be missed by so many. I’m sorry we will be out of town on the day of his service but rest assured he will be thought of on that day.
