Eddie Lacy was my father's cousin, my second cousin. I knew him as cousin Lacy. When he was in the military he would stay with us sometimes when he came home. I remember his smile and how neat and clean he always was.
He was a gentleman.
He made quite an impression on me, even today, some 50+ years later I can still see his smile. To my family, "earth has no sorrow that heaven can not heal"
Love, peace and blessings.

Lacy always provided support to our parents and siblings. He was consistently neatly dressed and organized. Lacy encouraged me to always work hard and try to save some money. One of my outstanding memories of my brother was his giving unselfishly my Father a 1956 Chevrolet for transportation.

Mr. Peterson was a true family man, a beloved husband, and doting father. It was 30 years ago when I met Mr. Peterson, affectionately known as Monique’s dad. I met Monique during high school and we quickly became really close friends. Over the 30 years, while coming by the house to see Monique and spending holidays with the family, Mr. Peterson would greet me with a huge smile and a welcoming hug. He was soft spoken, polite, and always cheerful.

Often, he would sit in his favorite chair and chat with us, checking in to see how I was doing or just to hear the latest details of what’s going on in our lives. Sometimes, Monique would joke and say that he lingers because he’s being ‘nosey’ (laughing out loud), and I knew it was all in fun. I appreciated Mr. Peterson’s caring nature and genuine interest in my well-being. He like to give supportive advice and always wanted the best for me.

Along our journey in life, I believe we are blessed to meet special people and create lifelong bonds. While these special people may not be family, they are people we choose with our heart. The Peterson’s will always have a special place in my heart.

Sending peace and comfort to Mrs. Peterson, Monique, and the entire family. May you find comfort in your memories and through the lives he has touched.

Mr. Peterson, God bless you, and may your spirit rest in peace.

-In loving Memory,
Angel Wallace
