Duncan Anderson, how can I say Good Bye to you? I really do not know. I have no words but only this, I know God had greater plans for you. Remembering you and our talks, laughs with you as VUU as freshmen up until we graduated in May 1999, was such a blessing… those shorts with those thick slouch socks and that smile went unnoticed. You definitely represented BMore with your style of dress. You don’t know the impact you have over many after graduation. Duncan your powerful words of encouragement and uplifting dialogue was truly unmatched and uplifting. I am and will be at awwwww with your transition. But God needed you more than ever to Glorify His Kingdom. I love you Duncan! I am goin to truly miss that smile. Our class of 1999 will truly miss you this Homecoming. I will continue to read your messages and uplifting and powerful inspiration you have shown me. May God continue to bless your family and your VUU Family. Love you Duncan until we meet again!

In Loving Memory of Duncan Anderson Jr.
Mervo High School, Class of 1995
Member of First Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church
The passing of our dear brother and classmate, Duncan Anderson Jr., has left a profound void in our hearts. It is hard to put into words the weight of this loss—a man who carried so much light, laughter, wisdom, and grace. As classmates from Mervo’s Class of 1995, we mourn the absence of one who was not only a friend but a source of strength, counsel, and spiritual encouragement.
I will always cherish our many conversations—those deep talks that stretched into the night, often ending with laughter, inspiration, or a new perspective on life. Whether over the phone or in fellowship at First Mt. Olive, Duncan’s words always uplifted and challenged you to think higher, live deeper, and love harder. His joy was contagious, his faith unshakable, and his presence unforgettable.
Duncan, you reminded us often that this life is but a shadow of the glory to come. And now, as your soul rests in the eternal arms of the Father, we take comfort in knowing you are safe in His presence. As the old saints used to say, “You can’t crown Him until we get there.” We look forward to that great reunion day.
To the Anderson family, friends, and the Mervo Mustang community—may God comfort your hearts with His peace, surround you with His love, and give you strength for the days ahead. We are praying with you and for you.
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” — Matthew 5:4
