I had the pleasure of having Derrick in my class as a 11th grade student, He quickly became one of my and the co- teacher's favorites.
He glowed with charisma, a sense sharp sense of humor and was usually (!) prepared to turn in his assignments. He spoke of his Mom and sister fondly and often.
