I am so very sad to hear of Dave’s passing. I met Dave through my son and through the past few years, he did work on our house, including a new kitchen that he finished in the end of August this past year.
Dave was a bright light with a megawatt smile. His kindness was evident in every interaction. He was intelligent and curious and could speak about any subject. He was a great conversationalist and I enjoyed speaking with him. We had even made plans for getting together with he and his wife for karaoke.
Dave was a complete professional and a perfectionist who took great pride in his work. He took care of his subcontractors and clients. Most of all, Dave loved his family and spoke of them often and with love and pride. We spoke about his daughter, who predeceased him and how much her loss had affected and changed him. It is comforting to think of them reunited.
I cannot imagine how big a hole his loss has left in the lives of the people who loved him and who he loved because even as an acquaintance, his loss has left my world darker. I cannot imagine still see his warm smile and hear his infectious laugh. I am so very sorry for your loss, and as our Jewish friends say, “May his memory be a blessing.”

Our prayers are with all of Dave's loved ones especially his loving wife, Tiera Smith and sons DJ, Kane, & Dave.
Dave was a brilliant and loving person who evoked thought and inspiration to all he met. His consistent words of encouragement and perspective will truly be missed.
His high spirit in the midst of pain is a true testament to his strength and power. We will continue to remember Dave, and reflect on some of the good times and laughs shared.
The Williams family will carry on his love for the Steelers. May his soul rest in peace and all of his loved ones be at peace, knowing Dave is in a better place.

So sorry to hear the news. David was an absolutely charming young man. He had a special connection with the bigger spiritual world. I’m sure he was received with loving ancestral embrace of forever relatives. Peace and healing to his beloved family.

Truly a remarkable young man and father! David came into my life thru my brother’s wife Athie! This young man was so interested in my renovation of my home! David would come around after school to see how far I got in the construction of my master bedroom! He was impressed on how large it was!
Well this young man with so much positive potential he started his own renovation when he moved to Maryland! David I’m so sorry that I never got down there to see the transition you made to your home! My brother bragged so much about your success in mastering your renovation!
Now you are probably doing a renovation in Heaven! Love you David!
Gail, Dave, Kane and my brother so sorry for your loss! My God continue to watch over all of you!
Much Love, Uncle Fred by way of marriage!

My deepest condolences to Gail on her loss of her Brother David. David was one of my closest male cousins growing up together. Remembering all of the family outings with him and Gail weather in Pittsburgh or in Canada, we always had an adventure. I will definitely miss you Cuz. Rest in Paradise and forever smile down upon us. Love always your cousin Dave (Lil Dave)

I’m not ok…and I won’t be ok for a long time. I’m understanding and accepting the reality that I’m in. And that reality is…I won’t be able to see you again…won’t be able to laugh with you again…share my goals and visions…my pain. How am I gong to do it…I’m not sure. But I will…because that’s what you would want. So I’ll keep going…but I’m not ok.

Sad news.. such a cool, smart, visionary with the talent to take a old home and create a masterpiece. After not seeing him for years he remodeled a house on forest park and he gave me a few tours during construction and overcame the issues, doing a lot of the work himself... it came out wonderfully, i even got a chance to see Kane again.
He and my son used to spend weekends together hanging out when they were younger.
My condolences to his children, family and friends.
May his ancestors welcome him and guide his transition

Sending my thoughts and prayers to Dave’s family.
Dave was talented, a passionate and, most importantly, he was kind—and smile was infectious.
I haven’t spoken to Dave in many, many years, although I speak of him quite often. I wish that I could tell Dave to tell him about my conversation with Michael Schultz and Louis Venosta about The Last Dragons of Hip Hop.
He will be missed.

Well I guess it’s really real. I have lost my favorite person in the entire universe and I am all that remains of our nuclear family. I am going to miss my little brother, my other, my wombmate. I want to say thank you in advance to everyone who has prayed and posted here, as well as, called, texted, posted, or commented. We appreciate your sympathies. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you here little brother. I am prouder than anyone can be about the life and the legacy you leave behind. You were an amazing example for my kids and for your own. Forever without words Big Sis
