Daniel Richardson Jr., the only son of Mabel Sharp, was born on April 16, 1957, in Jamaica Queens, New York. He departed this life on April 30, 2025, after a lengthy illness.
He received his early education in the Baltimore City School System where he received his High School Diploma. After receiving his diploma, he enlisted in the Army in 1975 to serve his country. While serving, he received a National Defense Service Medal and was recognized for his work as a sharpshooter and grenade marksman. After receiving an honorable discharge, he held various jobs, including working as a correctional officer for the State of Maryland. As a retiree, he created his own business working as a hack, a Baltimore term for an urban chauffeur, similar to what later became known as Uber.
On June 25, 1982, he married Toni L. Mack. From that union, two sons were born: Antonne K. Richardson and Daniel Richardson III. Though this union was not permanent, they had two children together and remained great friends even to his passing. Daniel also had a beautiful daughter named Alicia D. Moore, who he also loved very much. Daniel found a new partner, a lifelong partner, in Ms. Kim Mciver. They have been inseparable for 22 years.
Daniel loved playing, coaching, and watching sports such as basketball, baseball, and football, to name a few. He coached his sons' little league teams with great passion, which propelled them to excel in sports in their own lives. He played semi-professional football for the Baltimore Rams. He also enjoyed professionally competing in many Martial Arts competitions, making his way to the Olympic Trial Tryout team. He was also an avid WWF/WWE wrestling fan and encouraged his sons to follow that same passion of loving wrestlers like Hulk Hogan, the Ultimate Warrior, Superstar Billy Graham, etc. He was always willing to give his commentary on the history of wrestling and every pay-per-view event.
Above all, Daniel loved making new friends wherever he went. He loved singing, making jokes, being the life of the party, and encouraging others in their Christian Faith. He cherished spending time with family and friends over food and could never turn down a good crab cake. He will be sincerely missed by all who knew and encountered him. He will forever be known as a true friend to many and a devoted family man who loved Jesus with all of his heart, mind, and soul.
With his love for Jesus, Daniel served as an Usher at Breath of God Christian Fellowship in Aberdeen, MD and as an Elder at Greater Church of the Risen Savior in Baltimore, MD. Daniel was known for his street evangelism, helping others overcome drug addiction, and being a pillar of the community, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
He was loved by: his loving partner, Kim Mciver; sons, Antonne K. Richardson, Daniel Richardson III, Deshawn Wheeler, David Rice, Damon Moore, Dereck Green (preceded in death); daughters, Alicia Moore, Brittany Richardson, Tierra Eades, Tashell Sirleaf; brothers, Bruce Rice, Floyd Mack, Joseph Mack, Christopher Coates, James Mack, Michael Smith (preceeded in death) George Epps (preceeded in death); Sisters, Rosa Hubbard and Mina Washington; grandchildren, Dajaune, Seth, Michael, Lyric, Alicah, CJ, Serenity, Daylin, and Daniel IV; former spouse, Toni L.
