Condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Johnson.I never met Mr.Johnson personally, although I did have opportunity to play a song for him.He gave me much encouragement to continue playing and also invited me to stay in the volunteer school program helping kids learn music.Mr. Johnson was a very good friend of my Dad Mervin O. McCoy.He will be missed by all who knew him, just remember as long as we speak his name and keep the love and memories of him.He yet lives.Rest IN Power Mr. Johnson.

Deepest Sympathy to the Family. Carlos was a great Sax player. I enjoyed his playing and would attend as many as possible his musical events. He was very personable and a gentleman. He is Resting in the Arms of JESUS. Prayers going up for your comfort in the coming Days. Peace and Blessings.

Carlos was a dear friend of mine. I met him when I was about eight years old. He was working in a cut-rate store on Madison Avenue and Biddle Street. I also worked there to stock shelves and run errands. Later, I followed him to the Lucky Number and other venues. Throughout the years, we bumped into each other, and it was always a pleasure. Carlos was a Baltimore legend. I will miss seeing him. RIP, my friend.

Dear Acq and Family:
Pam and I were very saddened when we learned about the demise of one of my Very BEST Friends, Carlos. However, during times like this, we have always found Peace and Closure in the following: "BUT NOW THEY DESERVE A BETTER COUNTRY, THAT IS, AN HEAVENLY, WHEREFORE GOD IS NOT ASHAMED TO BE CALLED THEIR GOD, FOR HE HATH PREPARED FOR THEM A CITY" (HEBREWS 11-16--KJV
We are certain that Your FAITH will continue to SUSTAIN You now and in the days and weeks to come.

To the family of Carlos. I am sorry to read about the loss of your loved one. The pain is tremendous even with the passage of time. There are scriptures in the Bible to help provide relief of grief and distress. Please read Ps 65:2 that reads "The Hearer of prayers a source of comfort in times of grief and distress

Carlos was an incredible individual. In the past, my friends and I would dance to his captivating music. He had a remarkable talent for playing the saxophone. For many years, he performed at the Sphink Club and the Sportsmen’s Lounge, which used to be known as Lenny Moore's Lounge. RI.P.

Carlos was a great person, down to earth, funny and compassionate. I knew him going back to his days at the Campanella Building at Crownsville where he demonstrated his careing humility with everyone with whom he came in contact.
He was a wonderful saxophone player, mentor and music historian for decades.
He will be greatly missed!
