Condolences to Randy and the family. I have been blessed to have known Brenda since our high school years. She was an amazing person. Gentle and kind, yet determined and direct as necessary. Family first, a loving wife, devoted mother, supporting sister and the best granny. She will be missed but never forgotten. RIP!

Dear Randy & Family,
Prudence and I are praying for you and hope that you feel the presence of God as you go through this difficult time. We hope that you are drawing strength from Him and trust Him to be your comfort. We know that Brenda is in a better place and at peace with the Lord. She is missed.

I met Brenda when Northwood-Appold United Methodist Church decided to do a cookbook project. Brenda had many recipes to offer but admitted she couldn't type. She would ask me during our meetings or email me about typing those recipes. Somehow, when Brenda asked me to do something, I was more than willing to help her. After the completion of the project, I did not have much opportunity to talk to her. But when I did, we talked about everything and nothing in particular. If I didn't have the opportunity to talk, I would at least give her a pat on the shoulder on my way to my seat .I will miss Brenda's smile, laughter, word-of-the day, her plain-spoken demeanor, and her updates to me about Granddaughter Jayden. In such a short time, Brenda became one of my favorite people. She will be forever in my heart. Prayers to Randy and the rest of the family.

My heart is heavy because my dear friend is gone too soon. Little did I know when we spoke two weeks ago, she was actually saying "so long" (because she never liked saying good-bye). I'm making peace with it all, because that's how "Bren" lived her life. I'm thankful and so blessed to have had her in my life for so many years, not only as a coworker at BCDSS, but as a true friend and spiritual "sista", who not only supported me and my family, but who always showed me in words and deeds how much she loved me. There's no more pain, hospitalizations, tests, meds, etc So FLY HIGH my Sista/Friend, I Love You, and until we meet again, "so long". Sending hugs, love, and prayers to Randy, Mark, DeBrandon, and the entire family!!

Members of the Class of 1965 Mace’s Lane High School Cambridge, Maryland are still reeling from the news of the death our beloved classmate and friend, Brenda Brown Jews. She was a woman of God and we felt her presence and saw her light. We are so grateful to God for the time we had together. To the family, we are family and are here for you. Amen.
