Hello Nzinga,
I first want to offer my sincerest condolences and do know we are praying for you during this time of transition. I have known your father since I was 14 years old. Your father was like and uncle big brother to me and I loved him dearly. He was my fathers best friend to the end and he's been nothing but family to us. After recently losing my dad this hurts just as bad. All I know is life and death is God's business. We have to make the most of the time he gives us. The way your father rebuilt his life is a life well lived. He found his place in the God he served and used his platform to make humanity better. That is the greatest thing you can say about someone at this time. In the fragility of our mortality it makes us reevaluate our own lives. I hope that you will do your best to keep your father's legacy alive. You may not know me as well as my other brothers and sisters but we are family none the less. Think on those cherished memories because death can never put out the love that resides in our hearts. I don't think you ever get over losing someone you love. The challenge is learning to live without them. I pray you face this challenge with the courageous spirit I know you have. We will be there for you if you need us. Peace & Blessings

Brother Rahim was a big part of my life ever since I met him several years ago. He supported me in every way I could think of. Such a powerful man with a voice. He helped a lot of people in the Baltimore area with his leadership and commitment to the Westside community. Working at the same company with him and becoming a close friend was a joy. We used to talk and laugh all the time in person or over the phone time after time. I used to always call him and check on him because he would always come to mind. May Allaah bless his soul and may he rest in eternal peace.
