It's still hard to believe that you're really gone. You always made an effort to make sure we keep in touch. A "Hey Can" text every so often just to let me know you were thinking about me. You had such a pure heart and a passion for people, especially youth. You made an impact far and wide and touched so many lives in a positive and meaningful way. Well done. Rest well, Godbrother. I will miss you. Forever in my heart.

I'm still in disbelief about the news but I'm grateful to have known such a pure spirit in my lifetime. Praying for the family and his extended family of friends, students, mentees, and colleagues who are all mourning. May his memory and words of love and wisdom serve as a comfort at this time and may his legacy continue to live on through each one of us.

Juan rented a room from me for a year and a half while he lived in Memphis and taught at Cordova High School. I am shocked and saddened to hear of his death. He was like a grown up foster child to me. Affectionately he addressed me as "Mama T." I became very fond of Juan he was like my foster son. He was always respectful and caring of other people. After his return to Baltimore, he, we kept in touch through text messages and family pictures he shared with me. I'm sure he is in heaven with the Lord and resting in peace now. His gentleness and kindness and loving nature will be greatly missed. My heartfelt love, prayers and condolences go out to his family and friends.

This saddens me. He was my very first friend a Cordova. We used to talk everyday during class changes. He was a very nice person.

Mr. B was a great coworker and a good teacher. He loved his kids and he loved working with young people. We worked together in Memphis, the two years he lived here. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. His legacy will live on in the thousands of students he impacted. Thanks Mr. B for always being so kind and so caring. His family is in my prayers.

I am praying for the family of Busta. May the days and nights get easier. We were taught to not question God’s but to know his plan is grand. I know he is pleased with his servant and is saying well done! I’m so very thankful to have known a warmhearted, humble, and easy-going person who had no malice or ill will to mankind. Miss you much!
Fondly,
Marlena

Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadn’t formed the earth and world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to know Antwion. We called him affectionately “Busta.” He served as our class president but also served as a glue that kept us all together through the years. I’m reminded of our last conversation about a destination vacation for the class of 1996 and the importance of service to each other. Antwion, we will miss you but know that God’s will is the perfect will.

Just as God exhaled and gave life to your soul, He also inhaled to bring you back into his eternal body. May God continue to bless your family especially Morgan and I am forever indebted to the kindness that you always showed me.

Thank you for impacting the youth and helping to shape the minds of our future generations. We all know how important education was to you and how dedicated you were to the youth. This is devastating and unbelievable. I know you are up there dancing and smiling down on us. I will miss you so much Bus.
Love you little brother/cousin,
Cool Jay
