My sincere condolences extended to the family of Mr. William Hemphill. He will be missed on this side but God had other plans for him. I will always remember that smile on his face.I can see him walking the floor of the Main Office Post Office going about his daily routine working. Bro. Hemphill was driving force at Da'Branch. He was the force behind "From Our Table To Yours" which is our food pantry ministry at Baldwin Branch MBC. He phrased the slogan "That's how the Branch rolls" He will truly be missed. Take your rest thy good and faithful servant.

With profound and deepest sympathy we mourn the death of a life long friend and high school classmate. His bright sense of humor and love for family and his Stephens Lee High Class of 1963 are paramount. We pray that his birth into eternity is joyful and without limit. I first met my friend (Hemphill) in 1993. I would see him at the Postal Conventions the we attended. He and I became good friends and I am surely going to miss his friendship and playing golf. We have lost a very good individual who never met a stranger and treated everyone with kindness. Rest on my friend.

Very sorry to hear about Hemphill passing. We grew up together in Asheville, NC and had fun playing baseball and other games in the neighborhood. Hemphill was very witty and friendly as was his sister Shirley.
