We were blessed to have Oren for the time that he was with us. His glowing spirit can still be felt in the memories he has left to us. It’s up to us to make him proud as he looks down on us. And, to all of his family and friends, I am praying for your strength at this difficult time.

My deepest condolences and prayers are with the family and friends of Mr. Franklin. I worked with Mr. Franklin for many years at Carver Vo-Tech High School. His professionalism and dedication to students and their families was always a priority. Mr. Franklin was a valued member of the school community and will be profoundly missed.
May you find peace, strength, and grace in the Lord.

My condolences and prayers for Franklin's family. I spent the last 8 years working with Franklin in the Special Education Department at Carver VoTech. He taught me so many things about navigating SPED responsibilities and duties. He was always willing to help me at the drop of a dime at anytime. I like to say we considered each other friends which developed as soon as we both realized we were true purple blooded Baltimore Ravens fans. We often had to stop ourselves from conversing about football and the Ravens because we would spend an obscene amount of time on the topic. I think that is what I personally, am gonna miss the most about him. Rest in Power my guy I'm gonna miss you and our conversations.

I first met Oren through his brother Robert on my very first fishing trip, and was blessed to be by his side during what was his final fishing trip with his beautiful daughters. His warm and generous spirit made me feel welcomed from our very first meeting and in every encounter that followed. May he rest in God's eternal peace. (Robert's neighbor, Kevin)

Erica, I cannot express how sorry I am to hear about Oren’s transition. Each time I saw y’all Oren was always a chill guy and occasionally I would hear him crack a joke with the fellas. You and your daughters are in my prayers.

I’m sure I speak on behalf of many when I say this is a surreal moment for us all. I cannot believe the Most High has called you home so soon. You were an excellent high school teacher and my absolute favorite. You were an exemplary husband, and I watched you put forth tremendous effort to lead by example. You gave some of the best advice, even when it was blunt. It was a bold truth. There aren’t enough words to thank you for what you did for me in my life. When it came to college, my career, and the military, we discussed it all. I even annoyed you with my conspiracy theories and outlandish thoughts, but you tolerated me. Thank you. To my high school teacher, brother, mentor, father-like figure, role model: rest eternally, and may the Lord guide your spirit into the next lifetime. We love you, Oren.
