Erica, I cannot express how sorry I am to hear about Oren’s transition. Each time I saw y’all Oren was always a chill guy and occasionally I would hear him crack a joke with the fellas. You and your daughters are in my prayers.

I’m sure I speak on behalf of many when I say this is a surreal moment for us all. I cannot believe the Most High has called you home so soon. You were an excellent high school teacher and my absolute favorite. You were an exemplary husband, and I watched you put forth tremendous effort to lead by example. You gave some of the best advice, even when it was blunt. It was a bold truth. There aren’t enough words to thank you for what you did for me in my life. When it came to college, my career, and the military, we discussed it all. I even annoyed you with my conspiracy theories and outlandish thoughts, but you tolerated me. Thank you. To my high school teacher, brother, mentor, father-like figure, role model: rest eternally, and may the Lord guide your spirit into the next lifetime. We love you, Oren.
